If you love jewelry and like making it for yourself, perhaps you should look into getting into a design program. Not only would a design program enhance your own personal skills, but it could allow you the opportunity to actually get paid for designing jewelry.

It is the same as anything else, even if you are really good at designing the jewelry, the factories and design centers just want to see that you have received the education and training to successfully complete the job.
