
From Exclusive Design Jewelry, BaselWorld, the globe's biggest watch and jewelry trade show, opened Thursday with a new layout, including more floor for branded jewelry, to accommodate the "increasing 'merge' of watch and jewelry brands", in the words of Rene Kamm, CEO of MCH Swiss Exhibition Ltd., which owns and runs the show.
More than a hundred thousand industry professionals and other visitors from a hundred countries are expected at this 8 day fair (Apr. 3 through 10), where over two thousand exhibitors from forty-five nations present products and services in 6 multi-level football field-sized buildings. More than twenty five hundred trade, consumer, lifestyle, and specialist journalists from around the globe are covering its innovations and trends.
